## Scale and almonds

In dish 1 we put the 50 grams and in dish 2 we put almonds until balance occurs. So we have 50 grams of almonds.

Those 50 grams of almonds, together with the weights on plate 1, we have 100 grams in total. We fill almonds in dish 2 until there is balance, so we have 100 grams on each side.

We remove the weights from the plate and pass the 50 grams of almonds to plate 2 which contains 100 grams, so we have 150 grams.

We fill almonds in plate 1 until there is balance with plate 2, and we have a total of 150 + 150 = 300 grams of almonds.
